SPLF Awards
The South Plains Leatherfest Award of Excellence is a unique honor presented annually at South Plains Leatherfest, celebrating exceptional individuals who have made significant, lasting contributions to the Leather, BDSM, and/or Master slave communities. The winner of this award has had a profound community impact including cultural and structural contributions, a commitment to inclusivity, longevity of service, advancement of leather values, and shown leadership as an inspirational role model.
This award serves as a lifetime achievement recognition for leadership, service and innovation in advancing the values of Leather culture. Each year, this Award may be bestowed upon an individual, a pair, or a specific grouping of individuals whose collective impact should be acknowledged as a whole.
2025: Master Jim, slave marsha, Sir Cougar
At the first International Person of Leather Contest in 2015, everyone involved agreed that of all the contestants, one person stood out. Master Bill Keith exemplified the meaning of leather community with his generous and caring support of all of the contestants during his own title run. Unfortunately, we lost Master Bill in May of the same year. In his honor, the Master Bill Keith Memorial Heart and Soul Award was created. The award is chosen by a vote of all contestants to select who among them best exemplifies the unity, friendship, and camaraderie that Master Bill was known for. Upon South Plains Leatherfest becoming the home of the International Person of Leather Contest, the Master Bill Keith Award presentation was added to the South Plains Saturday evening contest and awarded to one contestant from the current International Master slave, International Person of Leather Contestant Class each year.
